I'm not sure about the parts or the case yet but my grandfather is giving me his old one that I want to upgrade for school work and all that good stuff
Do you have the PC to look at?
If it's an OEM it will have a Brand name & Model Number on the front of the case or on a label affixed to the case.
We have to know what we're working with to offer knowledgeable advise.
Without the necessary information, I would venture a guess that you should be able to upgrade the RAM if nothing else, but which RAM you need depends on the computer and it's motherboard.
