I used Norton ghost to copy Windows XP from a small drive to a 60GB drive. The 60 won't boot, stops before the Welcome screen at a blue Windows XP screen.
machine is 1 GHZ, 512 RAM.
Any thoughts for me out there. Thanks for any help you can send my way.

their is a reason why we suggest xxclone and you have "experienced" the reason :wink:

So you're saying that Norton can't or won't and if I xxclone it, the drive will boot??
I've no problem doing that, just wondered why?? I've copied dozens of drives with Norton, why this issue now??

Thanks Linderman I'm on here on the cloned drive. xxclone worked like a charm. Had an error message come up during cloning, on the message bar, that disappeared. Moved the cloned drive up into the boot tray and started, intialized a chkdisk sequence, that found a small error and up it went !!

you just found out why we prefer the XXclone over ghost and you got it first hand !
