I own a Sony VAIO S4M/S

Link ro Laptop

I was thinking that would it be possible to upgrade it with processor below.
The one in it is a Intel Pentium M 730 1.6 GHz processor

yes that should be fine, - although dont just take my word for it!!

as you are only upgrading the speed of the processor

although you may want to think about the cooling system, as a higher clock speed will result in higher temperatures produced

Adding a new CPU is fairly easy, even on a laptop, but mdeko brought up a good point. Some of the cooling systems that come with laptops can accomodate faster CPUs and some can't. Your best bet is to check with the manufacturer (and hopefully get an honest answer) and online to see if anyone else has tried that with your model.
