Hi, I am building a computer and right now it has an Intel Core i3 2130 cpu and a Geforce GTX 560 gpu. The main purpose for this computer will be to play second life on ultra settings at 1080p with shadows and other features turned on. I recently got another $50 and was wondering should I spend it on:

1. upgrade to an intel core i5 2400

2. upgrade to a geforce gtx 560ti

I was just wondering which of these two upgrade paths would give me better performance in playing second life.

I think second life isn't coded very well and doesn't actually run very good on any setup....

But a cpu upgrade would be the better choice as a 560 and 560ti are almost identical.

Is this machine your building already built? Are you simply collecting a parts list and haven't bought anything yet?

Yeah, Im just collecting the parts. I currently have a core i7 2600k, gtx 570 high end computer, but i want to downgrade as it is overkill for my needs.

Well basically I need some extra cash to pay off a bill I have, so this seemed like the only option to me. Do you agree about getting the core i5?

the i5 2400 is a better choice than i3 for sure

Why not pay your bills first , then come back with a set price for your build so we have something to work with?

Very solid advice. After paying the bills you can save your money until you can get what you want.
