I'm running vista premium(64 Bit),when i try to install updates,i get errors,so i downloaded them from microsoft but when i try to install them,i get a message saying they don't apply to my system.
If that is the case,why am i being offered the updates in the first place.

Also i have noticed that my system is running Assus Acpi Center.Does this slow down my system in any way?Can you stop it,or does it need to run?

as to the updates the first one you list is a security update for 64 bit this is what ms say
