I am trying to connect my computer to my Canon PIXMA MX432 printer to operate wirelessly.

When I go to download the most recent driver for Windows 10 (x64), WinZip Self-Extractor opens, yet when finished, nothing happens. No installation process, no Setup Program. No .exe file is created from the unzipping process.

Any ideas on what I could be doing wrong? Or how to connect my computer alternatively?

Much appreciated.

An additional detail worth mentioning:

Canon Support instructs to download the "Mini Master Setup" file supposedly located at the Drivers & Software page. Unfortunately, it is no longer available. So I fear that this printer is just no longer compatible with new versions of Windows?

Which brings me to asking: Is there any way to download & use older versions of drivers, if an updated one is not available?

With the printer plugged in go to Start/Search and type devmgmt.msc, Right click the devmgmt results and Run As Administrator. In the Elevated Device Manager, are there any devices with yellow flags? If they are the Canon Printer, right click and Uninstall. Unplug the USB cable from the computer end.
Go to Start/Search and type appwiz.cpl and press enter. In Programs and Features, uninstall any Canon software you have listed. Now restart the computer.
When the computer comes up, download the latest driver, it is not a Winzip file, it is an .exe: mp68-win-mx430-1_02-ea24.exe
During the install of the driver, it will tell you when to plug in the USB cable.

Wow, thanks much for this spunk.funk. Your instructions require me to have a usb cable handy, however, which I'm afraid I don't. In which case, I will set out right away to get one. If you have any alternatives that don't require this, I would be most grateful.

Thanks again.

Thanks spunk.funk, but this brings me back to the initial problem I was experiencing. When I go to download the latest driver (mp68-win-mx430-1_02-ea24.exe), I am first prompted to make changes to the computer. Immediately after clicking "Yes," WinZip Self-Extractor unzips the file, followed by nothing. No setup prompt, and no unzipped .exe filed created. That being said:

Do I need to execute any of your previous recommendations before downloading the latest driver? And can I do so without having a usb cable? (To my misfortune, my family is very disorganized and misplaced it).

Thanks much. Hope I made myself a little more clear.

If you run the Driver install, there are instructions during the setup to install Wirelessly.
When you install a driver it comes in a zipped form, and it should automatically unzip to a location on the C: drive, take note of where it unzips to.
Usually C:/Cannon or C:/Drivers etc, The driver install should start automatically. If not, then browse to the folder the driver unzipped to. Run Setup.exe to start the Install. During the Install, it will ask how you want to connect to your printer, Ethernet Network Cable, USB or Wirelessly. Choose which one works best for you. If Wireless, You may need to configure the wireless on the printer Menu as well in the driver install, follow the manual, or click on the link in Post #5. If having problems connecting Wirelessly the first time, configure with a USB cable, get a USB cable at any electronics/office store. Or online at Amazon, Ebay etc.

Spunk.funk you are the best! For some reason, no matter how many times I tried, it just wouldn't work. After unzipping, nothing would happen--no file formed, no popup window. This time, however, I was on a different wireless network, I'm not sure if it made any difference, but this time after downloading the driver file, the setup followed. Now I can print successfully! Thanks a ton.
