Hi
My first post on this forum.

Just built a new gaming rig
Intel Pentium G850 @2.9ghz
6 GB of ddr3 @ 1333mhz
Gigabyte H61-s2pv motherboard
Coolermaster GX750 PSU
Seagate barracuda 7200rpm 1tb HDD
Nvidia Palit GTX 660ti jetstream

Razer abyssus Mouse
Logitech keyboard

Games running at high fps with unplayable stutter every so often. i thought it was a hard drive issue originally so i bought the seagate drive, still the problem persists. the motherboard stop working suddenly but it was sent back to gigabyte for repair.

Don't understand what the problem could be
i have reinstalled windows numerous times.
But i'm still getting the stutter.

The HDD light flashes when it stutters, dodgy sata controller maybe?

Cheers
Pete

Seems to me that your graphics card is more powerful than your cpu which means it is bottlenecking.

Hard drive lights flicker all the time. Highly unlikely this a drive issue unless you are playing all your games from the drive.

As greenbrucelee said, Most of that pc is gaming worthy for sure, but the pentium is a pretty weak cpu for the rest of your setup, and as a gaming computer really..
Unfortunately buying a new processor isnt cheap, especially if you want one that can keep up with your video card. You could always sell the pentium online somewhere and get most of your money back to put towards a better cpu. Thats what I would do.
Generally high fps is indicative of a powerful enough gpu, and generally stutter, and millisecond freezing in both audio and video is indicative of a struggling cpu. As a side note - usually, if an electrical component in a circuit is not functioning properly, it is pretty obvious. Either the affected part just wont work at all, or the entire pc wont turn on.

I am playing most of my games from my hard drive, except crysis. i do understand that the Pentium is bottlenecking my whole system but some games like garrys mod, counterstrike ect that do not have a lot of content to load run perfectly fine, but older games like fallout 3 are unplayable. i used to get high fps for all my games to start out with but then it went bad!
