When booting R50 IBM laptop with windows XP Professional, am getting an error "unmountable boot volume with Blue Screen". I tried booting it in safe mode, but the same result.

Please help me to resolve this issue. Urgent.

The link above worked, but when i got to recovery console, it only detected windows on d: so i did the whole chckdsk thing but it didnt work and i still had blue screen because i was checking d:

to get it to work for me i selected d: windows installation (the only one detected) at recovery console, then typed in c:

that got me to the c: , which i ran chckdsk on and fixed the prob...

hope that helps someone....
