unknown authrorization method!!!

Hi !
I recently switched to red hat 7.3 as my pc Os . I installed redhat with no problems , all the devices were installed properly but there is a problem in my connection to internet through my office LAN. I checked my net card and it has no problem , i also got the neccesary ip addresses and other details from my lan administrator , but when i try to conect to internet i get following error msg form my Kconqueror browser:

* Unknown Authorization Method *

I did set up my proxy as it was explained in redhat 7.3 manuals and checked it several times but no use.

please help , as i have to switch between redhat and windows for using internet, and that made me mad X(

Can you use a different browser that one sucks IMHO, RedHat should come with Mozilla pre-installed. Check that your getting a real address as well, goto shell and type "ifconfig" see if the address is what its supposed to be.

PS: I meant ifconfig not ipconfig it was not a misprint.
