I had to uninstall Office 2007, had to do this manually - deleting everything out of C drive then same in regedit, used Windows Install Clean Up to remove rest, reinstalled Office 2003. Now when I go to Microsoft Update, it wants me to install Outlook 2007 update. Any suggestions on how to get Microsoft Update to see Office 2007 is no longer installed, by the way, Microsoft Update sees Office 2003 and does update it.

sounds like you missed stuff when you manually uninstall. try reinstall 2007 and try to uninstall in add/remove.

I ended up having to format and reload everything, unfortunately, when I went to Microsoft's office web site, they gave me no satisfaction. I formatted because of all the "hidden" issues - I could find no registry program that eliminated all those "hidden" issues, I'm sorry you are experiencing problems, but this was my only solution.

thats horrible!

i just discovered openoffice.org and would much rather use that.

its free, open, and it loads faster than microsoft office!

i gotta find a way to remove this crappy software.

Yes, I did try that tool and I still had problems with Windows being unstable, kept getting the "blue screen of death" every other day or so. I now run the OpenOffice
