i encountered the same problem when i build up a member domain controller, any ppl can give me some hints of that?
Uninstall Active Directory error
I am trying to uninstall Active Directory using dcpromo on a domain controller. I keep getting the following error -
The operation failed because:
A domain controller could not be contacted for the domain fsainvest.local that contained an account for this computer.
Make the computer a member of a workgroup then rejoin the domain before retrying the promotion.
"The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted."
This is a domain controller, not the primary, and I can ping the main domain controller form here.
Any thoughts?
