 I have been naughty and have been refilling my Lexmark colour cartridge and now the X1180 wont print colour, no doubt due to my interest in saving money, it is expensive isn't it? This is a great shame because as a rule the machine has done a good job at printing anything I have poked into it from the PC.
Does anyone know how to get the thing working again or do I have send it to the local hardware morgue and buy a new printer?

Does it still print in black?
Refilled cartridges tend to wear out after a while, but there shouldn't be any damage to the printer. If running the head-cleaning/nozzle check process doesn't help, buy a new cartridge and replace it again after about 5 to 10 refills. Shop around and you'll find some good deals, much cheaper than big-name PC stores.
