Did you set both hidden options?

Note, that even with both set to show hidden, some folders will still seem hidden, like Content.IE5 (actual Browser Cache). In this case, you type-in the \Content.IE5 at the end of ...\Temporary Internet Files and it will display.

try this

**Back up your registry before editing**http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPOR...t&ExpandSection=1,2&Src=sec_doc_nam#_Section1 (Click the green link)

====================

Once backed up the registry follow these steps:

  • Folder
  • Hidden
  • SHOWALL
Now right click on CheckedValue and click Delete.
Right click and hover over New then select Dword Value call it CheckedValue.
Right click on CheckedValue and choose Modify, under 'Value Data' type in 1.
Exit Regedit

Restart your computer.

Now try changing Show hidden files and folders in Tools => Options.

Hi

I`m having the exact same problem with my computer.
I previously tried to format the computer, only the drive with the windows, but after i reinstalled windows i got the same problem. I also tried to do ur suggestion but when i try delete or modify it, somehow it creates it back or changes it back to it`s value immediately.
I just tried to kill the process explorer, and did ur suggestion and it seems to have worked. But when i try to access my homedrives after 1 or 2 secounds the value changes back to 0. Also i duno if it has anything to do with it but when i double click my drives in My Computer a new window pops up with it. This was happening before i formated also.
