Hello:
Thank you for your reply
I talked to the director of the center before about using a Dhcp server.
She is unfamilar with it and since my time at the center is limited to a couple of hours a week. I am unable to completely maintain it. The directer has enough knowledge to support a this network as is.
The reason why I think it is a registry problem for this is for two reasons.
1. In the network control panel I click specify manual IP address radio button and I attempt to click in IP address window The cursor will not enter the window. The IP address is blank.
2. I looked for TCP services in the registry and was unble to find it under Local_Machine/Current_Control_Set/ Services/TCP.
I am really unfamiliar with Wintel machines. When I reloaded Win98.
I ran Setup.exe to reinstall Win98. I think this does not completely restore Win98.
I talked to the director. she plans on sending the box out. Format the C drive and do a complete install of Win98 and it applications. We do not have the time or tools to do it in house.
I consider this matter closed.
Again Thank you for your help!
Regards
Rod
