Greetings,

I am unable to download any files using Mozilla Firefox. For example lets say I want to download Winrar, I get the "save to location" dialog box but once I choose my location and click save the dialog box disappears and nothing happens. No file is downloaded. I also have no indication of a download in the "Download progress box." IE seems to work fine.

I tried reinstalling Firefox and messing with my browser security settings as well as windows firewall. Any other suggestions?

What is the revision or version of Firefox?

First thing I would do is to get the latest update to Firefox by opening Firefox the go to Help and then check for updates and when done the current version is 2.0.0.14 and then give downloading a try.

Also if you are using any type of download accelerator please turn this off.

I made the mistake of just looking at the installation file rather than "about firefox" under help.

Are you using any download extensions in Firefox? If so please disable the extension and also make sure all of the extensions are up to date.
