Unable to connect to quicktime videos in online course

I have windows xp, sp2 and am finishing a college pre-calculus course called course compass. I am unable to view my quicktime videos in the course. It never connects, my arrow just keeps turning and it says it is connecting but never does. After spending 2 1/2 hours on the phone with Dell tech help and spending 100+ dollars I had it fixed for all of three days until we upgraded our wireless in the house and the problem returned all over again. I have tried resetting all my quicktime settings but that does not help. Something is blocking it from loading. Is there someone out there who can help a college student finish their last few chapters without pulling their hair out?

Have you checked your built-in window firewall?

yes, when I disabled it I still could not load video.
Welcome to TSF....

Are you using a third party firewall like zonealarm?

I disabled my windows firewall previously and still could not view. I also have mcafee security system (free from comcast) and disabled that firewall as well but still could not view video.

Go to that page and see if it will load up at all, read up and proceed as the page instructs you.
