I receive 'Internet explorer cannot display the page' when trying to browse the internet. I am connected to the internet and skype is connected and works.
  • I have tried both IE8, IE9 and Firefox.
  • I am connected to the internet via wireless router.
  • I have tried to restore advanced settings through the internet options and no joy.
  • I have tried to change my IPv4 settings as mentioned on another forum. Nothing seems to be working.
  • I have run a system scan for malware and any viruses.
I am not hugely technical. What should I try next?:4-dontkno

Try connecting wired through the router. If that still fails, Browse to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc open the Hosts file with Notepad. If there are any lines after
127.0.0.1 localhost (see attachment)
delete them

Connect via wifi. Then. . .

Need to obtain info on your wifi. Make sure wifi is on, then run this app -

http://sysnative.com/0x8/WMIC...._jcgriff2_.exe

2 Notepads will open, one behind the other. Save both as TXT files; zip them up and attach to your next post.

Regards. . .
