i'm having a problem with changing my desktop picture. when i pull up properties to change the background, it's not accessible. i can change the color, but no browsing or making the photo stretch or tile, etc. i've never had this problem before and i'm having no luck with finding an answer on how to fix it. please help!!

i've tried the links and running regedit but nothing happens when i enter the regedit... am i doing something wrong?

i believe it does, it's my home computer, i've never had a problem with it before, this computer has been great til now.

Can you open a picture in the picture and fax viewer and right click the image and click set as desktop background? I don't think it lets you set the option to stretch etc but we'll at least see if you are able to change the background that way.
