I restarted my laptop but it is unable to load windows. It simply shows the first screen ''press F2 for SETUP, press F12 for boot device selection menu'' when i press either F2 or F12, it prompts me to wait but still does not respond. .any one with ideas on how to deal with this?

Try to remove the HDD and try to boot into BIOS. Also try the same with either battery or AC alone. Post back what you find out.
