Hello,
I have encountered a problem with my Memory card. I was able to view the content of the memory card on my camera, then when I inserted my memory card into my USB card reader on my Windows 7 laptop the following error occurred;
You need to format the disk in drive E: before you can use it
I have completed the following troubleshooting :
[Tutorial] how to fix error "You need to format the disk in drive" - YouTube
how to fix error "You need to format the disk in drive"
- I have attempted selecting numerouse drives however I get the same error when attempting to open mounted drive:
o:/ is not accessible
The request could not be performed because of an i/o device error
I have shut dow restarted my laptop
I inserted my card reading USB device into a different USB port
- a pop up window appeared stating:
Check disk for error
- I ran check disk for error
- ticking :automatically fix file system error
Half way through the scan the following pop up window appears :
- the disk is write protected
I am going around in circles and freaking out cos of the content on the memory card is important for me to access.
I am putting it out there , can any one please assist with additional troubleshooting ...
