Hello all,
I am having uninstalling an existing installation of win xp using an ME startup disk...When I try to format C: drive I get the error "format not supported on drive C drive.....I am not sure what I am doing wrong and can use any help or advice anyone can offer...Thanks

Try wiping the drive with the utility disk that came with the hard drive. You are probably using NTFS and I don't think you can format it with a FAT32 boot disk.

If you don't have the utility disk go to the manufacturers wesite and download it.

Actually, you can remove a primary partition that is formatted NTFS with a W9x boot disk, but you can't remove a logical NTFS drive in an extended partition for some reason with the same boot disk.
