as per title should i go with a tv or monitor i know that tvs only have the hdmi as oppose to a monitor which will have a dp or/and dvi input. but i was just wanting to know which one of these will be my best option for gaming at 4k. i recently bought a zotac GeForce GTX 980 Ti AMP! Extreme 6GB graphics card (gtx760 dedicated for physx) and am really enjoying my entire rig right now the only thing left to do is upgrade my display. so hence the question. my budget is around 500-600 dollars. right now i have 32" led tv that i am using i would really like to ether stay at this size or go bigger. in all reality i would really rather go bigger.
THANKS IN ADVANCE

The TV is going to be fine for movies and TV shows, but when reading and browsing on the web, font is going to be small and fussy. Gaming on the TV can be a hit of miss depending on the TV, but you may find yourself constantly moving your head about due to the large size.

Must the monitor be a 4K unit?

Most TVs also have DVI and/or DP inputs. The real difference is that you also pay for a tuner with the TV.

With some TVs even through hdmi or the dvi port have issues with the refresh rate which can affect things.

I have always found monitors to be better.

But as stated numerous times, the OP wants/needs a larger format. Viewed from across the room anything smaller than a 42 - 50 doesn't cut it.

Where does he state it he will be sitting far away from it? I've gathered he wants a bigger screen to wall mount.

Anyways, any great distance from the monitor and TV, and viewing text will become quite difficult IMO unless you have perfect vision and can make out the smaller fussy text.

Do you plan on using the PC from a couch in your bedroom or your actual bed? How far away do you expect to be?
