Notes
When building a computer it can be confusing at times. If you are unfamiliar with how to build a custom PC please post in our TSF Building Section for assistance. Or consult your motherboard's manual for quick and easy help.

When installing the RAM (Memory) be sure to use slot numbers 1 and 3. You need to run the RAM in a dual setup. Consult your motherboard's manual for more help.
Be sure to connect the hard drive and the optical drive to the SATA 6.0 ports to achieve 6.0Gb/s hard drive speed, otherwise the drive will operate at SATA 3.0Gb/s. Consult your motherboard’s manual to find the SATA 6.0Gb/s ports.

When installing your Video card make sure to connect it to the PCI Express 3.0 x16 Slot. Typically the slot closest to CPU is PCIe 3.0 slot which is backwards compatible and will run at the top speeds.

Make sure to do cable management when installing the power supply. Good cable management will allow excellent air flow which will keep the PC cooled.
Overclocking? Read here!

It should be noted that if any type of overclocking is performed on the PC it will VOID warranties.

TSF does not recommend overclocking any of your components as the gain is very minimal and may shorten the life of the component.

If overclocking is applied to the CPU then it is recommended to buy a 3rd party CPU cooler as the stock fan would not be sufficient.

Do not use a water cooler on these systems. Water cooled PCs offer no extra cooling over a typical air heat sink. You will only run the risk of leaks.

Create a new thread in our Overclocking forum to find out which heat sink is right for you or for overclocking support!
CAD/CAM or graphics editing

If you are looking for a system to perform heavy amounts of CAD/CAM work or heavy graphics editing then it is recommend to increase the amount of RAM.

Either brand below will be suitable for both CAD/CAM and graphics editing.
