Hi I've a an issue here I'm wondering if I run Three of these cards in SLI will my Power supply handle it.

System is.

Asus Striker II Formula MB
XFX 8800gtx x3 Graphics
Six GB ram (4 sticks)
Intel Q6700 quad
Zelman copper fan
Antec 900 case
4 WD 1TB green drives
1 WD 1TB Black drive
Pioneer Blu-ray drive
Silverstone SST ST85ZF PSU

Im not worried about the PSU only having 4 PCI-E cables as I will just splice in two extra.

Also will running the third Graphics card will I be gaining much other than the hol**uck from friends  and is there a down side to doing it.

Thanks

The "wow" factor would be the only advantage I can see.

So theres no point in doing the three SLI (why bother making boards then that do it?)
Because its one of those concepts where people believe more is better or bigger is better.

The benefit to dual cards is only slightly better. About 10-30% depending on the game and thats only if the game supports it, might run worse with dual cards if it does not. Same thing with 3 cards. Chances are stuff is going to run worse or there will be zero improvement in performance.

Your money is better spent on just the fastest single die card you can afford.
