I bought a salvage Panasonic CF-25 Toughbook that had nothing on it. I then put an OS on it. However, I need the CMOS program as it uses a Windows 95 program to modify the CMOS (which I hate). However, this program insists that I have a Lithium Ion battery. I have a NiMH battery in it. Any ideas around this to get to the CMOS? I am needing to change a few things under there to get everything going properly. I do have Windows 95 on it right now, as well as seperate hard disks that have Linux on them.

OK, Got it. Someone had to tell me how to use the Rescue disk.

Here's the e-mail I got from Panasonic about it:

Dear Sir ,
Your model is probably came with version 95a , and you have
95b installed . Install Windows 98 , and it should eliminate most of the
error messages in Device Manager . If you have the 1st Aid Disk for your
CF-25 , boot from it and type the following command to stop the "Please Run
Stepup" error .
setup25 /isf
setup25 /f

Remove the disk when the laptop begins to reboot , after typing the second
command.

Rescue disks can be downloaded from Panasonic, and this move fixed almost everything under Windows 95B related to this system.
