I was using my CF-54 one day and I finished what I was doing then closed it. It has never turned back on. When plugged into AC power I get a battery light but that's it. This happened 2 years ago and went sent it for repair it needed a motherboard. This time it lasted 1 year and the exact same thing has happened. Is this a common CF-54 problem of eating MB's? Is there anything I can do myself before sending in for a MB replacement again?

The battery on this model Toughbook slides out the side. Remove the internal battery and try to power the laptop with just the power adapter attached, and as stated, remove any External USB Drives. if the laptop doesn't start then there may be other hardware problems.
