My laptop recently crashed so i rebooted it and now it wont reboot. It's saying

file: \windows\system32\winload.exe

Status: 0xc000000f

Info: The selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or corrupt.

I've tried reinstalling windows with my disks but once it starts to actually install it errors and makes me reboot my computer.

Try Startup Repair using the Vista install CD. If that does not work, then try to restore back to previous restore point.

If those do not work then may be you may try to boot from the Vista installer DVD then go to repair options (if you can't select any valid current installation of Windows then try not to select anything). Open a command prompt.

At the command prompt try to look into c:\windows\system32\boot folder if you have winload.exe. If you do, copy it into c:\windows\system32 folder.
