My Toshiba Satellite P15-S420, which is about 1.5 years old, randomly shuts down, and then when I try to reboot it, it shuts down again. However, if I wait a few minutes and reboot, then it will reboot and stay on for longer until it shuts down again.

This is my second Toshiba Satellite P15-S420, as I had the same problem with the first. I had originally gotten one at Best Buy, but when I had the same problem on the first, and when Best Buy's people couldn't replicate the problem, I was able to exchange the first for the one I have currently (which ends up having the same problem).

Sorry that this post is similar to others about Toshibas, but when I tried to post this thread to the others (to avoid overlapping threads about Toshibas but about different models), I got an error message.

Also, is there a log in which the computer may be recording the details of the shut-down? I have Windows XP Home.

Thanks very much,
Justin
