hi, this is my first post here, i have a problem, some of the keys from my keyboard stop working, the f9, f10 f11 f12 f4, also the numbers 4, 6 and the bar space, esc key....a total mess, dont know if is hardware problem or something else, i already unplug and plug again, uninstalled and installed, used a restauration:upset: point...and its the same malfunction:upset:

Does it behave the same way using a USB connected (external keyboard)?

External keyboard did not get recognized by the laptop? Have you tried any other USB devices?

I am not familiar with the F9, F10, F11, F12... etc. but if you boot into Ubuntu or Knoppix live CD, you may open an office application (spreadsheet) in linux and test the other keys like (4, 6 and space bar).

Try removing all USB devices in Device Manager (you may have to Show Hidden Devices), reboot and plug in the external keyboard.

hi, i had to buy an external keyboard, a usb one, and it works fine, the keys that didnt worked, now works, but im aafraid, that ill have to buy a new keyboard for the laptop, thx for the replys

im having the same problem. i found the new one fro $8.00 its very easy the change

yea if keys are dead then the keyboard is bad. Stop spilling stuff on it ;p
