Hey Folks,
I have a Toshiba M400-EZ5031 Tablet PC running Ubuntu OS and the battery won't take a charge. Here is what I tried, Bought 2 new batteries and 2 new ac adaptors none of the batteries will charge. WOW, what could be the problem? Any thoughts because I am stumped, as soon as you unplug the ac adaptor the laptop shuts off. The jack on the laptop is not loose and it seems to be just fine, batteries and ac adaptor is new. What else, any help is much appreciated.

Thanks

Jon

Ok folks,
Here is the fix if you eveer have this problem on the M400-EZ5031 laptop. The battery charging circuit has gone bad and this a typical failure on this model. Unfortunetly, the battery charging circuit is integrated into the motherboard and can't be replaced, hence you need a new motherboard. ($450.00) Hope this helps others out there that have the same problem.
