Hi, I got a new Toshiba Stor.e Canvio which does not allow fast forwarding or changing chapters when playing back DVDs. The same DVD folders can be played back from another external hard drives including a Samsung and a Iomega one. I had already the same problem with a Western Digital drive. However, I can fast forward avi or mp4 files from this drive. As I understand this is somehow memory buffer related issue? Do all the "big hard drives" have this problem? How to know before buying the product that the hard drive will fail playing back DVDs?
