Hi

Friend of mine was playing steam game on my dekstop and then I realized that all .exe programs were associated with the steam.

What I did i uninstalled steam , and then when i double click on any .exe program a message pops up:

The icons are white and don't have their unique icons and whenever I want to open any file it says :
Code:
Choose a program you want to use to open this file
the icon look like in the link below :
http://www.animecrazy.net/forums/vi...em-choose-program-you-want-use-open-file.html

Then the above message changed to the below :
This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel
I am using windows 7 with Norton 360 installed and I do not think it is infected with a trojan

I tried to google the only link that I found most related to my issue is the one below, but it was fix for XP not windows 7

Any advice what I do to overcome this issue ?

Thanks

Scroll down just a bit for the download, run it and you should be all set from there.
