Hi all !
My IBM 760XL thinkpad had to be formated due to a virus. That done and having searched for information about externaly loading software onto the hard disk,
I have been unable to get the CD R to work, following another thread on this forum from 31 march 2005 (IBM 760XL Help)
I loaded all files mentioned from desktop onto laptop hard disk and then tried to start up laptop. Have got C: , but wont read CDs , Try to boot from CD wont work , wrong operating system , comes up on screen.
CD rom drive is a Hitachi CDR-S100C, is the generic driver (OAK) no good, or am I missing something completely Here ?
