Thinking of getting a new HD

Been looking deeply in to the new SSD drivers. However they are a little out of my budget. Mostly because I can't really justify to my self spending almost $200 for a 90GB HD no matter the performance gain. However I was going to consider buying like a 20GB one and installing Windows 7 and my programs on it. Then running my old HD for games and what not.

Only reason I am thinking of this is because this hard drive I have is terribly slow. It's seems to be get fragmented files a lot. Every several days I have around 10-15Gb of fragged files. It also only scores 5.8 in Windows performance chart. Can you guys recommend any good SSD drivers that would suit my needs?

20GB is not enough for win 7. You should consider leaving ~25% of the total space unused so that maintenance and performance stay high, with SSD's.

You could look at the Intex x25-v series and OCZ Onyx to mention a couple of suggestions.

Wether you need an SSD or not, is totally up to you. Maybe you could list the make and model of your current drive, how full it is, and which software you use to defragment.
I think it would be more cost effective for your needs if you purchased a more current internal hard drive. This will provide you with more storage capacity, and is likely to perform faster than your current hard drive. If you wanted it even faster, you could look into cheaper smaller but reasonably fast hard drives, and get something to run it in RAID through software, or preferably, hardware, for a boost in speed. Note that in RAID, don't expect huge performance like the ones they may claim.
I am currently running some Barracuda HD that I got from Bestbuy. Other one died so I was left with no choice but my local Bestbuy. What kind of HD would you guys recommend? I am not looking for anything supersonic but I need a good quality one.
A lot of the hard drives out there are good. But I personally would look at one with a 3 year warranty, that is made by WD or Seagate.
