I've got a Cavarly 1TB external HD and this message just popped up today. I've had it for about..5 years, and this is the first time I've had this problem (although to be fair it has been saying for the past year that there was something potentially wrong and asking if I wanted to scan and fix, but I never did).

I've run chkdsk H: /r and this is what it says:
The type of the file system is NFTS.
Volume label is NewVolume.
Corrupt master file table. Windows will attempt to recover master file table from disk.
Windows cannot recover master file table. CHKDSK aborted.

I also did Properties>Tools>Error Checking but it says:
The disk check could not be performed because Windows can't access the disk.

I ran EaseUS recovery, and it located all the files, so they're all still there. I'm hoping there's a way to fix this and regain access without having to recover the files since I don't have much space on my laptop.

Thanks very much!
