the difference between Skt754 and 939?

What is the actual difference between a skt754 64bit 3000+ (newcastle) processor and a Skt939 64bit 3000+ (winchester i think :4-dontkno ) both running at 2.0 Ghz?

if you are planning to purchase the cpu, the stick to the socket939 cpu. you will benefit when it comes to upgrading by getting the socket939 cpus.

i believe that the motherboards that support the socket754 cpus are support only single-channel memory. while on the other hand, motherboards that support socket939 cpus support dual-channel memory for better performance.

someone feel free to correct me if im wrong here.
