Hello,

My computer (nb205 windows 7) has been coasting along fine for a long time now ( a year?) with comodo and avira, when one day i suddenly notice win 7 pop up, i accidently hit enter (Well i panicked ok?) before realising it was fake. It is currently dominating my computer, i get an error (Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access this item) for EVERY program I open. As if my incredibly low battery life (Expect a thread about that later :tongue my computer is locking me out basically. I need to know the best thing to do to my computer, how i might remove this, and if it is possible to reformat my computer (no backup...).

I just attempted restarting it in safe mode, win 7 modified the registry keys in such a fashion that it started up. I attempted to install malware bytes, however the installation doesn't seem to be working.
