It could be sign of the CMOS battery running out of juice.
You could also try a BIOS update, problems like this are often BIOS related.

The date and time changes randomly??
On a customers XP machine I am working on at the moment, the date and time will change randomly, usually forward. I have removed the HDD and scanned for virii. It did have a trojan called "Vundo" or something similar. I removed it successfully and scanned for and removed spyware as well. The unit still has the fault though. Earlier today I set it for 10.30am with the correct date, and about 15 minutes later when I checked it the time was 4.23pm and it was September 23, 2006 or something similar.
Has anyone come across this before? I'd appreciate any help getting to the bottom of this. :smile:
