Maybe this is where I should post...........since I'm at my wits end.

I want to ccp from a chat room the following format.

volunteer> hi, how may I help you today
crying> I just lost my best friend
volunteer> Oh, I'm really sorry to hear that
crying> she took an overdose

but all I get is this...... volunteer> hi, how may I help you today
crying> I just lost my best friend volunteer> Oh, I'm really sorry to hear that crying> she took an overdose

It just runs together like one huge paragraph. I can't get it to copy properly in email or word document only in notepad.
I run windows xp..............and have outlook express 6

It's the chat forum cause my other puter copies it properly.

I'm not computer smart..................so please could make the reply easy for me to follow.
Thanks a lot......

What operating system is the other computer?

Are you using the same broser or software to view both chat rooms?

what text editor

so you say notepad works?

but wordpad, and things like that are running it together...

i have this problem also, and i have to manually run through my file and hit enter in the right spots, and that sometimes makes it look all messed up. a friend of mine has a different version of wordpad, and his doesnt do it like mine does, perhaps there is a setting in the options that will tell it to insert carraige marks (paginate?), i think it is, but that could be a wrong term. i would like to see the answer to this question, as i have been wondering it for some time myself.
