Terminal server & default printer

1576 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  tenisnotenough
We have a user who's default printer always defaults to a 'local resource' RDP printer when connecting to a Server 2008 terminal server.

I tried disabling this RDP local resource setting, however it always re-ticks itself! :sigh:

Is it possible to disable these RDP local resource printers from a group policy point-of-view?

Hi There,

You can actually disable printers for client through the Terminal server configuration.
You can untick what local resources are accepted; local disks, printers and more.

In administrative tools you will find the Terminal Services folder and in there you should find the Configuration front-end.

Hope this helps.
