I had my PC shipped and it arrived looking fine externally but inside the cpu cooler was bent down about an inch. Would this damage the mobo and CPU? Could it have caused damage to mobo or cpu that may not show up right away? In other words if it boots up is it pretty much good to go? I am not going to boot it up w/ a busted cooler, don't worry.

Cooler: Noctua NH D14
CPU: 1090T
mobo: Asus M4A89TDProUSB3

I had it packaged and shipped. It had insurance. UPS doesn't think it is shipping damage but they probably never opened the case to inspect the inside. I am just wondering if the heatsink being bent and it being a heavy Noctua with a backplate, if it is likely the mobo and cpu are damaged as well. If the heatsink was bent that far then it had to of had a very long fall and a sudden stop.

UPS called me to get some info. It'll be a week or two before they decide what to do about the insurance claim. I didn't get pics of it unfortunately. Feel free to close this thread! I shouldnt need any other advice unless they argue about the computers functioning parts vs dead parts.

Thanks!
