TCP/IP not enabled for this connection

I'm having problems with my 1394 connection i go to the network connections screen and checked the status of the connection and it said that 0 bytes transferred and 0 bytes received.when i try to repair it it says "TCP/IP is not enabled for this connection" i now went to the command prompt and typed "ipconfig" and under Connection-specific DNS Suffix it says "domain.invalid" how do I fix this?
