does anybody know if i can take parts off of a 1992 taurus like the head or the valves and put them on a 1996 taurus they are both a 3.0 litre v6

any help would be nice thank you

What's the engine code (8th character of VIN) for each engine?

the one on the 96 is a u and the one on the 92 ill have to check

im curious whats important about the vin number being the same

If VIN is the same that means they're probably the same engine...but I'll have to check at work tomorrow to be sure the parts are the same.
