An extension called Fireshot will do what you're asking. Use the "Capture visible part and..." which will give you 9 optional actions to take from there. If you want the entire webpage, use the "Capture entire page and...". It will automatically scroll and capture top to bottom of the webpage; again without capturing the tabs. The most useful screenshot tool I've ever found.

Why you just don't go into "Full Screen" and then Print Screen?
Works for me.
