My 1.4GHZ athlon (non xp) been running 86 degress with no problem. But still so now I leave my case window open, & I though another fan on the over side of the heatsink, so now I have 2 fans. And its running around 67 degrees I can't wait to put in my new athlon 3000+ with new fancmasta said:amd cpu's can run up to 79 degrees without problems, it's a "side affect" of amd cpu's. they do it normaly. nothing to fear about
while intel's pentium and celeron only go to 39 degrees overall. they can go up to 59 before they're level is critical...
some airing holes could help. or a nice big fan :bandit:
