System Restore Problem

Dear Experts,

When i right click on mycomputer icon, in system property window system restore tab is missing.

From Accessories->systemtools->systemrestore i got the message that " system restore is not able to protect your computer. please restart your computer, and then run system restore again." I restart machine many times but same message appear.

anybody pls give solution.

hi,

right click my computer, choose Manage
find the services option, load the services icon and look for system restore.
if its stopped, start it, if its running, restart the service by right clicking it and choosing restart.

Dear PaddyN,

Thanks for the reply, As per your instruction i tried to start "system restore service" getting following error "Could not start the system restore service service on local computer - Error 2: The system cannot find the file specified".

I restart the system but still getting same error while trying to start the system restore service.
