I just ran a program called Advanced System Repair. My computer (Windows 7) has gotten extremely slow so I was looking for a way to clear my cache as a start. Anyway, the program found about 1 million things that needed correction. But of course, to fix all problems requires a license for $29.95. Has anyone had any experience with this program? Is it worth $29.95?

All programs of this type are IMO a complete and utter waste of time.

Generally all they have found are Registry orphans, and removing them will make no difference whatsoever to how Windows will perform, whereas if some Registry orphans are removed, there is a chance you could brick your machine.

You should also be aware that Windows 7 is now no longer supported by Microsoft, and is therefore no longer receiving security patches. This makes it vulnerable, and we recommend people with W7 machines to upgrade to a supported OS as soon as possible.

The forum you have posted in, is for help with infected machines. If you believe your computer may be infected, then please read the forum posting instructions ... https://www.techsupportforum.com/fo...-posting-instructions-305963.html#post7728436 ... and start a new topic with a description of your problems, and the FRST logs that we need to diagnose your malware problems.
