I have a Compaq 6910p with synaptics touchpad 6.2. When I move the mouse it automatically taps with out my even lifting my finger and the tap setting IS disabled. Can anyone help? :4-dontkno

Have you tried re-installing the drivers?

It is also not a generic trait of the computer

Might help to know what you have done to try and solve this.
