Hi,
I'm having problems when switching on my system, it will rarely boot up properly and it takes about 5+ attempts to get it running.
When I push the power button I hear the fan and everything turn on to indicate the PC is on as normal, but the monitor doesn't detect it and doesn't come on and I can just hear the fan and see the CD lights etc, but any plug and play devices such as keyboard don't work. I think it must be turning on directly to Standby mode or something? Eventually it works and the monitor picks up the signal and displays the bootup screen, after many frustrating attempts.
I don't think it's a monitor issue, the monitor has been tested on systems in the past and has worked fine, it works fine on this system only after many attempts to switch the PC on. When I try and turn the monitor on manually during this process it just says no signal, as though the computer isn't even on.
This is really annoying
Hope someone can help me, it will be greatly appreciated!
PS: My system is an Athlon XP 2600+, Socket A, 128MB SDRAM.
Thanks.
