I am running a pentium 3 600 Mhz WITH 512 L2 cache, on a slot 1 motherboard 810e chipset with no agp slot.
I have now bought a newer slot 1 motherboard with VIA Apollo pro 133A Chipset that has a agp slot. I also have bought a new Radeon 7000 video card. My question is, do you think I can just pop the new board and card in and go from there, or do you think that because the boards use 2 different chipsets, that I will have to do a clean install???
Thanks for all comments.

Try this - most of the time it will work but there are no guarantees. Swap the boards and boot the system in Safe Mode (hold F8 when booting). Pull up Device Manager and delete EVERYTHING under My Computer. Reboot and Windows sould redetect everything on your new board unless it needs a new driver then just load it from the CD that came with the board.
